With over 4,000 + alumni, IHE is proud to continually be contributing safe and skilled heavy equipment operators to the work force.

We have been seeing an influx in government funded and announced projects including highway expansion, pipeline construction, mining exploration and of course, the oil sands of Alberta. These projects needed workers.

We teach six pieces of heavy machinery – Grader, Dozer, Loader, Backhoe, Excavator and Rock Truck. Learn one piece or learn them all. Take advantage of our regular promotions. Get the required safety tickets at the same time. Add on GPS training and more. We are one-stop to your future career. 

We do not use simulators. We have over 20 acres of land and we teach on the real thing. All our machines are sanitized after each 5 hour machine shift. There are two shifts available at the moment (AM or PM) which allows our students to maintain part-time employment while training. We have online classroom curriculum, paired with live Q & A sessions with instructors until such time as our health authorities provide the ok to return to in person classrooms.
