One Stop Licence Shop Ltd. opened in January 1994, by owner Cheryl Davis, to take advantage of the business opportunity provided when the provincial government privatized their customer service delivery network. The work that was previously done in five government offices, mainly in Edmonton and Calgary, was now available locally, in one convenient location. One Stop Licence Shop's "one stop" shopping approach provides you with increased accessibility; better hours of operation and a greatly improved level of customer service. As taxpayers we have saved millions of tax dollars through the delivery of registry services by private industry. The privatization of Alberta government services has been a huge success for all involved - Alberta citizens, taxpayers, government and private businesses.
