Ornamental Features:

Paparazzi Angelina Phlox features showy fragrant lavender star-shaped flowers with pink overtones and purple eyes held atop the stems from mid spring to early summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It's narrow leaves emerge coppery-bronze in spring, turning grayish green in colour throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Paparazzi Angelina Phlox is a dense herbaceous annual bedding plant with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition.

This annual bedding plant will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should be cut back in late fall in preparation for winter. Paparazzi Angelina Phlox will grow to be about 8 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 18 inches. Although it's not a true annual, this plant can be expected to behave as an annual in our climate if left outdoors over the winter, usually needing replacement the following year.

This annual bedding plant does best in full sun to partial shade. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This plant can be propagated by division.

This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.
