Birch Hybrid Bellflower

Ornamental Features:

Birch Hybrid Bellflower features beautiful navy blue bell-shaped flowers at the ends of the stems from late spring to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. It's round leaves remain green in colour throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Landscape Attributes:

Birch Hybrid Bellflower is an herbaceous perennial with a ground-hugging habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage.

This is a relatively low maintenance perennial, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It has no significant negative characteristics.

This perennial does best in full sun to partial shade. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations, and should do just fine under typical garden conditions. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This plant can be propagated by division.
