Description:

Magnificent dwarf delphinium displays soft shell-pink flowers on a mounded plant; a perfect selection for smaller places in the garden, put in containers and lining borders

Ornamental Features:

Summer Morning Delphinium features beautiful panicles of shell pink flowers at the ends of the stems from late spring to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It's crinkled ferny compound leaves remain dark green in colour throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Summer Morning Delphinium is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect.

This perennial will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should be cut back in late fall in preparation for winter. Plant Characteristics:

Summer Morning Delphinium will grow to be about 8 inches tall at maturity extending to 12 inches tall with the flowers, with a spread of 12 inches. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 3 years.

This perennial should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This plant can be propagated by division.
