Description:

A fine fuchsia variety featuring dainty white nodding flowers that may show a pink flush; small bright green leaves give a finer texture; very attractive to hummingbirds; a dense self supporting round shrub

Ornamental Features:

Small Leaf Fuchsia features dainty nodding white trumpet-shaped flowers with shell pink overtones along the stems from late summer to early fall. It's small oval leaves remain green in colour throughout the year. The fruit is not ornamentally significant. The stems are crimson but aren't particularly outstanding.

Small Leaf Fuchsia is a dense multi-stemmed evergreen annual bedding plant with a more or less rounded form. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage.

This is a relatively low maintenance annual bedding plant, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. Plant Characteristics:

Small Leaf Fuchsia will grow to be about 3 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 feet. Its foliage tends to remain dense right to the ground, not requiring facer plants in front. Although it's not a true annual, this plant can be expected to behave as an annual in our climate if left outdoors over the winter, usually needing replacement the following year.

This annual bedding plant should be grown in a location that is shaded from the hot afternoon sun. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
