About Us

For over 25 years, I have been happy to introduce myself as an Audiologist. I earned my Master of Science Degree in Audiology in 1985 and began my career as a Regional Audiologist for the Manitoba Government’s Department of Health. In 1998 my husband and I moved west and made our new home in this lovely city of Red Deer. For the next 12 years I was a member of the staff of the Red Deer Clinical Audiologists. I had the pleasure of establishing many personal and professional relationships during these years and I am grateful to have achieved a significant professional goal in completing my Doctor of Audiology Degree through the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. In the fall of 2010 Strategic Hearing Solutions was created - a professional hearing care centre where the needs of individual clients are of paramount importance. Developing this clinic has re-ignited my passion for helping people improve communication through minimizing the effects of hearing loss. When Wes and I came to Red Deer I had no way of knowing that this community would really become my home. And, although I grew up in Saskatchewan (go Riders!) I have come to realize that this is where I belong. Between raising 3 children, working with our valued customers, and generally enjoying all that life has to offer, life is very full and extremely rewarding. Dr. Susan Hopf Dr. Susan Hopf (Au.D.) I am very excited to be joining Dr. Allison Fox at Strategic Hearing Solutions. I have always worked hard to meet the hearing needs of Central Albertans and I am enthusiastic about renewing my working relationship with Allison. As the previous owner of Red Deer Clinical Audiologists, I bring over 25 years of experience to the Hearing Healthcare profession. In 2006 learned my Doctorate in Audiology from the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. I have always had a keen interest in the advances in hearing aid technology and! am passionate about finding the right amplification solutions for those who are living with a hearing loss. I look forward to meeting new clients here at Strategic Hearing Solutions and I hope that I will have an opportunity to work with some of my former clients as well.
