Located in the beautiful downtown of Red Deer, Country Cupboard showcases over 2000 square feet full of unique items. Be prepared to spend some time enjoying the homey feel while browsing the shop. Our goal is to make your shopping experience relaxing as well as presenting good products with old fashioned service. We strive to bring quality products that are not available at most stores.
The uniqueness of the historical building adds to the feel of an old country store. The shop is located in a historical brick-front building that was constructed in 1947 by Mr. Wing Wong. Originally, The War Surplus Store and Mac Arthur’s Cycle & Sporting Goods shared the two spaces on the main floor. The upstairs included four apartments. Don and Cathy Edwards took over the store in 2009, and their youngest daughter, Michelle, is in the process of taking over the family business. Country Cupboard was founded in Red Deer and has been operating at the same location since 1985, except for a few brief interruptions. After being closed off and on due to lockdowns and a fire on June 3rd, 2021, we were able to reopen once again on October 8th, 2022.
We would like to invite everyone to stop in, say hello, and see the variety of gift items, home decor and many unique products that we offer. Thank you for supporting local!
